Description:

When I acquired this bike it was a rusty chromeplated frame with Benotto decals.  It was thought to be a late 1960s Italian built model. The decals and Campagnolo components were mismatched and incorrect for that era. The lugs, bottom bracket cutout and fork crown look identical to the ones used by Faliero Masi from 69-70. I’ve shown it to several knowledgeable Benotto and Masi experts. They can’t explain it. If there’s anyone out there that thinks they know the history of this bike, send me an email.

Despite all that, it’s a beautiful handcrafted steel frame, possibly one of kind. It’s a light, quick and responsive ride. The matching era-correct components are in perfect working order. I’ve left some of the chrome exposed. However, it is obviously 50 year old Italian chromeplating.
